After the Lost Her Marbles caper has been completed, H.A.M. members get slayer's staves added to their loot tables. Iron ores and coal also will be noted if they are received as loot. The price of the slayer's staff has been floored in the Grand Exchange market system, meaning that the price can never go any lower and that it is actually more profitable to alchemise it than it is to sell at market price. This keeps this method stable because the staff that constitutes the majority of the profit has an unchanging price.

When pickpocketing H.A.M. members, your inventory will always be full; however, so long as you have the chance to hold one of the possible loots, you will be allowed to attempt a pickpocket. In this case, you will be holding noted coal and iron ore in the inventory. These ores also contribute to a significant portion of the profit. You will need to be on the look out for staves that are looted (because they are dropped to the ground), but this is a relatively easy task. Slayer's staves have a high priority for display; when stacked with all the other possible loots, a slayer's staff is always listed first and its sprite always visible. The staff's sprite is also easy to spot because it is particularly longer than any other. The staff always points perfectly north.

Due to the low level required to begin pickpocketing H.A.M. members, failure rates are relatively low at high levels. This benefit is slightly countered by the fact that failing too often gives the player a chance to be kicked out of the H.A.M. hideout and be required to travel back. Failure rates may be lowered by wearing gloves of silence and/or an Ardougne cloak 3. At levels above 70, you can expect to have around 1500 successful pickpockets an hour. With 99 thieving, an Ardougne cloak, and the gloves of silence the failure rate is 0; you can expect a maximum of 2000. The H.A.M. members in the north-east room are easily trapped between the bunk beds that line either side.Due to constantly changing prices on the Grand Exchange, some information in this article may or may not be current.
